Iran In Syria: Israel Strikes Back

In light of yesterday’s post on Iran, China, and odd patterns of data around the world, this post is most interesting (hat tip to Powerline). Seems Israel is systematically gutting Iranian efforts to provide precision guided missiles and production technology to various non-state actors in Syria and Lebanon including Hezbollah.

Fox News is catching up on things as well, talking about the events covered in this post along with some new attacks. While no one knows who (or how many whos) are involved, someone is systematically gutting Iran’s nuclear and missile programs. While I strongly suspect some non-state actors may be involved, there really is no way to know right now. Nor is that a bad thing, as some secrets really do need to be kept to protect sources, methods, means, etc. Really do hope that for once the bureaucracy keeps its collective mouths shut.

The Data Oddities Continue, And Three Iranians Arrested After Illegally Crossing The Border

In this post, I noted some “odd and interesting swirls and flows” in the data patterns in several parts of the world. That post came, in part, from this post on Iran. In the first post, I asked why the cartels were smuggling Chinese nationals across the western border, and what else were they smuggling?

Now, there’s a bit more. Three Iranians were arrested illegally crossing the border. Yes, it was a family, but I do wonder how old the “child” was given that the term has been applied in the past to “children” who were 21 or over. The thing is, other people from the Middle East have been apprehended, including one female who happened to have a map of the region’s gas pipelines.

Chinese nationals in the west, Middle Eastern in the east. How many of each are the cartels getting across? What else besides people is being smuggled into the United States? Who is behind the explosions and fires that have just crippled several projects related to nuclear weapons and advanced rockets and missiles in Iran?

Keep in mind that China is tied to all the areas I mention in that first article. The actions of the Chinese government, open and clandestine, are not the actions of a strong and confident leadership, but those of a very desperate leadership.

Also, while the data patterns on the Indian border are interesting, not elevating that to something to keep a strong eye on yet. Yes, it is worrisome, but some of what happened may have been a miscalculation on the local/regional level. If things start to stand down, that’s likely the case. If we start seeing it ratchet up, then it joins the others.

Again, keep an eye on these anomalies in the pattern, and be prepared. Remember, preparedness always pays.

Some Quick Thoughts on Iran

Iran

I was going to link to several stories, but P. David Hornik at PJ Media has a decent wrap up that included most of them. I will add that there are reports of some non-standard denials from Israel that they were behind this. Frankly, I suspect quite a few hands may be involved with this one, directly and indirectly, possibly including some non-state actors. The patterns in the data are swirling strongly, and there is much currently unknown about who has done what, where, and why. Keep an eye on it, and also remember to keep an eye on the Mexican border (and the Caribbean).

I took a bit of a break from the mass media (highly recommended) and social media for the holiday. Did me a world of good, and plan to continue to avoid mass media as much as possible. Did, however, get to read a number of studies, catch up on some other things, and otherwise recharge a bit. Some interesting stories out there.

If you haven’t been keeping an eye on Iran, you need to. Multiple explosions, damage to secret bases and production facilities, and oddly enough two hospitals. There’s more than that, but it’s a good start and is NOT being covered by the mass media. Keep an eye on the Mexican border too, as the patterns are changing there as well.

No matter age or sex, take to heart the old Boy Scout motto: Be Prepared!

Ghislaine Maxwell

I really hope that her arrest doesn’t lead to her “suicide.” That this time some competence is used at all levels, especially as she has every reason to cooperate. The fact that she hadn’t fled to France, where she holds citizenship and could have – a la Roman Polanski – avoided extradition, speaks volumes. That this comes so closely on the heels of the firing of Berman also speaks volumes. Maybe now they will also search Epstein’s ranch, and do a proper search of all his properties.

That said, I’m thinking of starting a pool on the manner of her suicide. Seppuku? Hanging? Overdose? Car Accident? Shooting herself in the back? Slit wrists in the tub? Electric toaster in the tub? Feel free to add your own.

This case really needs to move forward, but I have zero expectations that it will. There are too many powerful people making extraordinary efforts to block it, and our system is corrupted. It would be nice to be surprised and wrong, but reality to date rates that as a sucker bet.

The Vanity Of Illusions

Neo has a good take that echoes some things I’ve said before. He does a good job, and I do recommend reading his take on how the Democrats believe they have Trump checkmated.

That said, I think they are wrong. Beyond that, they are inflicting serious wounds on themselves even as they drop the masks and show the hideousness beneath. The public does indeed see it, unless they are the terminally woke. More importantly, those who own or are starting small businesses, and those who own mid-sized businesses are paying very close attention — and voting with their feet.

In Indianapolis, Mayor Hogsbreath ordered the police to stand down so the downtown area could be sacked. Rather, lacking the courage and integrity to own his decision, he had a deputy mayor give the order. Then, nothing. Not a word from the mayor or his office to the businesses that were damaged or destroyed. To top it off, his office has openly lied to the media and the public, claiming he had been in touch.

More than one business, including some fairly big names, are rumored to be considering moving outside of Indianapolis if they reopen. The sacking and no communications tells them all they need to know. If they go, the efforts to revitalize downtown and to make/keep it as a convention destination will fail. I see this happening in cities across the U.S., with some not just moving out of the city, but relocating to other states. It’s the wise and right decision for them, and it will devastate the cities they leave. It’s a self-inflicted wound that may well be fatal for those cities. I would hate to see that happen here, but would not be surprised.

People are watching, seeing, and they no longer believe the torrent of words from the politicians and experts. What will happen remains to be seen, but with so many already voting with their feet, it will not be a good time for those cities or the politicians. They are also arming up: I visited several gun stores recently, and on Saturday all were packed. Black, White, Asian — what they all had in common was that most were middle class and all had seen that the state would not protect them, that they were on their own. Quite a few were vocal about that. That is a good thing. But it confirms that no matter the words from the politicians and their media activists, the people are already voting and it does not bode well for those politicians/experts.

No, She’s Not

Predictably, the mainstream media types are out to get Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany. Enter reliable tool Bill Grueskin, who claims she is undermining the credibility of the press. While Paul Bedard does a good take down of the gruesome column, I will simply note is that she has simply cleared the smoke and allowed all to see the loathsome state of modern media. For me, she has reinforced all the reasons for my decision to leave that trade. I will note simply that PRSA and marketing organizations have a far stronger code of conduct and actually — unlike the media — enforce it.

The GRU Bounty Story

Dezinformatsia. Period. Full Stop. Origin unknown, but it is yet another effort to meddle in our election/prevent a free and fair election. I hope that any competent authorities we have will look into the origin and possibly do something about it if it is of domestic origin. As for the Shady Lady who “broke” this “exclusive” all I can say is the Spirit of Duranty lives…

More On COVID-19

First up, a study has been released by the IHU that looks at 3,737 patients treated there using HCQ-AZ (primary) and other treatments. The results are quite interesting, and it is worth noting that the death rate of those treated was 0.9% (35 deaths), and only 6.2% had a poor clinical outcome. You really should read the study since it gets into the underlying conditions and other factors that went into the poor outcomes. Their conclusion notes that early testing, diagnosis, and treatment are key to successful outcomes (more than 93 %).

It is a shame that HCQ has been politicized the way it has in the U.S., and it is worth noting that studies overseas that do honest reviews of HCQ-AZ (plus zinc) show very different outcomes than the limited, and somewhat questionable, studies done here. As such, it worth noting that only 4.5% of the patients treated at/through the IHU has problems with the treatment and most of those were mild (GI). Really, go read the whole thing.

Next up, how many really died of COVID-19? It’s less, possibly far less, than the 121,809 claimed by the CDC. Why? Read this and the linked article. As I noted when discontinuing the daily updates, the numbers being fed the public are worthless, and will remain so until corrected. Even if that number could stand, which it can’t, new data from the CDC saying that the number of cases may be 10 times what is reported. Which means that it is even less deadly, and/or debilitating, than reported. Now, take a look at the number of people who die from the regular flu in a given year. Go on, look it up as you might not believe it if I just tell you. For this we have gutted our economy and freedoms?

Speaking of the lockdown, guess what was ineffective? And as for herd immunity, this study indicates that less than half of the population would need immunity to create herd immunity, as opposed to the 60 % that is the current/classic standard.

Finally, the elephant in the room that the MSM, CDC, and the usual suspects do not and will not talk about. The surges and spikes that are happening? Guess where they probably came from. Yet another signal failure of our so-called elites.

I want to thank two people for their tireless and even bulldog work on the science of COVID-19. First is Glenn Reynolds, the Instapundit. While his co-bloggers have done good work, Glenn has been tenacious on the science and has earned multiple hat tips here and on social media from me. Second, I want to thank Dr. Didier Raoult at the IHU for his efforts to get not only his own data out, but who has tirelessly shared studies and information from multiple other studies. His sharing, and informed commentary, has been everything our own experts have failed to do.

T-Cells Better Indicator Than Antibodies?

This is a fascinating read on tracking COVID-19. If other studies back this up, we may find that COVID-19 was even more widespread than believed. That’s important to know, since it would also likely push the survival rate up well past 99 percent from the current (roughly) 98 percent. It would also show that it was not as contagious as presented. Hat tip to Instapundit.

Two quick thoughts to share.

First, I’m wondering if the COVID-19 that hit the world was/is a weakened version of what first spread in China. The reports that got out from China (as opposed to the lies of the Chinese government) present a much grimmer picture and the response of the Chinese government was/is extreme given what we know of COVID-19 elsewhere. It also raises questions about what the CCP thought got loose.

Second, I wonder if — once the dubious death statistics are corrected/updated — we will see that the death rate was actually significantly lower than the normal death rate from the seasonal flu. There is data that shows it is the same or lower right now. Another fact that is being studiously ignored by the MSM.
