Some Quick Food For Thought

There is a lot going on. Some of it truly is good, and gives hope on several fronts. Far more, however, is frankly terrifying to anyone who believes in the rule of law and the philosophical tenets of Western Civilization. Political assassination and violent assault is the new norm. We are on the brink not of a slippery slope, but a cliff, and it will take very little at this point to put us over that cliff.

If you have not made basic emergency preparations, start now. Even if there are no food shortages from weather early in the year or problems with production related to the lockdown, food prices are going to go up as we move into fall and winter. Can, buy what you can of canned goods, freeze — stock up. Take supplements or prescriptions? Get as much of each as you can, I’m working on a six-month supply myself. Have batteries? Flashlights? Means to cook if the power is out? If not, you need to prepare. Nature may strike even if we keep from falling over the cliff. And, yes, buy ammo and guns. Also some edged weapons.

I still hope for the ballot box and the courts, but am no longer counting on it. I really do hope that the efforts by Rand Paul and others to investigate who is funding and supplying Antifa/BLM/Etc. takes off, as they are well-funded, well-supplied, and are very well coordinated. Take a look at what people and vehicles keep showing up at trouble spots… Also, as I’ve noted in this series of posts, we really need to know what besides people are coming across the Southern border (and a small amount seems to be coming over the northern as well).

Hope to have more positive thoughts up later this week, work permitting, but this morning finds me perhaps a bit too realistic. Now is the time to prepare, to think about protecting home and family from both people and nature. It is time to stock up, take stock, and be prepared to act at need.

It is also a time to think and decide on the future of the Great Experiment that is America. Are we to continue as a Constitutional Republic with the philosophical foundation built into it by the Founding Fathers? Or, do we want to tear that down and replace it with the socialist state desired by those who are rioting, looting, raping, and murdering their way through major cities? That choice, for now, is yours. Educate, study, then make informed votes for every level of government. Go for the best candidates you can find. Don’t like your current government and what it has done/is doing? Vote in change. Please make informed choices for all, and most of all, get out and vote. Your future truly does depend upon it.

Some Quick Thoughts

Well, the RNC has ended and now the battle for the election begins. It may well turn into a literal battle, but one can hope for something better.

The DNC was extremely negative, filled with envy, anger, hate, and destruction. America is evil, sexist, racist, etc. No real policy, just stated desires to eliminate the Constitution (eliminate 2nd Amendment, restrict or eliminate the first, eliminate the Electoral College, etc.). No speaker offered hope, or grace, to America and especially to the “enemies of the state” who oppose their efforts to any degree. There was even a wink and nod to the ongoing violence, including rape and murder, that not a single speaker acknowledged.

By contrast, the RNC was a story of hope, of Grace, forgiveness, and of all the things that are good in and about America. Rather than fact checks by celebrities/media mouthpieces, the RNC brought in real people, many quite ordinary in respect to celebrity, to detail their experiences and how they overcame odds to raise themselves and others up. In so doing, they did a far more effective job of fact checking the DNC/media. The emphasis was on hope: that America does have problems, but they can be overcome by individuals and individuals working together. That America is indeed the land of opportunity and that equality does not mean equal outcomes, just the chance to grow and succeed if one works for it.

Another interesting contrast this morning is that at the DNC, there were peaceful demonstrations outside. Well, peaceful until the loving, tolerant, thugs attending came outside and began attacking people simply for holding different beliefs and/or supporting opposition candidates. Contrast that to the mobs brought in to literally attack those leaving events at the White House (and maybe elsewhere) in a scene right out of 1930s Germany (or Marxist paradise of your choice).

Make no mistake, the mob violence will get worse. Antifa, BLM, and others will step up their game. There is reason to believe that they have arms, along with the sophisticated communications gear (some of which appears to be military/covert op grade). Where did it come from? What else do they have? There are cells for agitprop and more in major cities, and Wisconsin shows that “peaceful demonstators” can be brought in from around the country rapidly at need.

Speaking of agitprop, the media is glossing over the agitprop that a man who shot himself rather than be captured by police was in fact shot by the police. This bit of agitprop set off yet more “mostly peaceful” demonstrations in Minneapolis…

Again, the violence will only escalate. The people behind the mobs are hoping for violence, especially if they can spin it to being the victims, rather than what happens being ordinary Citizens defending themselves and/or their property. Part of that spin (long planned) is to push the lie that this is happening on Trump’s watch and is his responsibility, rather than the deliberate abrogation of sworn duties by state and local officials who are encouraging and enabling the wanton destruction, rape, and murder taking place during the riots, CHAZ’s, etc.

At this point, it would almost be surprising if the mobs don’t attack voters and voting stations on election day. Again, one can hope but for me it is a faint hope.

The two conventions put things in stark contrast: An America that learns from the past, and moves forward to a better future for all; or, an America that rejects the Constitution and the philosophies that lie behind it to create misery for most while a Nomenklatura rules over the rubble in isolated splendor where the State is god.

Think, vote, and be prepared. Prepare for the worst because even if there is a landslide for Trump, the progressives have already said they will not accept the results. Then again, they haven’t accepted the results from 2016. Sadly, I have to agree with those who say that 2008 may be the last time there was a peaceful transfer of power in our history.

Stop It! Fight Back!

Recently, video showing two Biden supporters attacking a 7-year-old and his mother, has been making the round. Those with a clue rightly called out this thugocracy action for the despicable action it was. Unfortunately, a number of people across the board fell for the ‘What the everloving were parents thinking to take their child to this event’ attack.

STOP IT! 1. It is an effort to deflect blame from the thugs involved. 2. It is an effort to normalize violence against those wearing clothing, carrying signs, or otherwise supporting parties other than the Democratic party. 3. It is an (ongoing) effort to deny people the right to openly support any opposition to the Democratic party, with a goal of making it where there is NO place where one can wear clothing or voice support.

Face facts: this is not the first time a child has been attacked for wearing a hat or other clothing supporting Trump (or other opposition candidates), those being on the street, parks, or other locations. It is not the first time senior citizens, or just plain adult Citizens, have been attacked for wearing clothes or voicing support for anything non-Democratic. A rally anywhere, be it near the convention, a park, or anywhere is supposed to be a safe place and usually is until some thug attacks by driving a vehicle into the crowd/tent, or engaging in physical violence to attack individuals (usually without warning) to remove clothing, destroy signs, or otherwise destroy personal property. The goal is to make no space safe for any opinion contrary to the Marxist left.

When you attack the parents for taking their child to a political event, YOU ARE ENABLING THIS EFFORT! Stop it. Quit normalizing the violence and threats, which is exactly what you are doing. Wake up, as this is a fight and the Marxists are fully prepared to use violence and intimidation to get anyone/everyone else to voluntarily give up rights and most of all the right to express opinions and to a free and fair election. If you continue to cede grounds in limiting the locations and ability to express support of candidates and positions, you are giving them what they want and are complicit in those actions.

Instead, punch back. Forget twice as hard, go for as many times stronger as you can. Defend yourself, and make full use of the law to do so. File criminal complaints and hold police and prosecutors (especially the prosecutors) accountable. File civil actions as well as criminal. Until there is pain applied, this will just keep getting worse.

Things are off to a good start in this case, as the two thugs have been arrested and face multiple charges. For the parents and others involved in this, take it to the next level and press civil actions. This is not a time to be nice, unless you want the violence and intimidation to be the new norm. Make it personally painful for these and all other thugs, because until they face personal sanctions and accountability, they have no real reason to change their behavior. Until individuals are held to account, the mob will only grow and get worse.

Fight back, and quit doing what the Marxists want.

More To Come

Sorry for the delay, but working overtime which cuts into my writing time. Was going to try to get up a post today about those screaming about how dare the parents of the 7-year-old assaulted by the “peaceful” Biden supporters take that child to such a dangerous place: they are wrong, sending the wrong signal, and abetting the enemy. Maybe tomorrow.

Instead of writing that column up and getting it posted, I woke up to a fraudulent charge on my debit card, and caught the perps starting to make a second. Foiled that by transferring all remaining funds out of the account, then spent a bit of time on the phone with the fraud people at my financial institution. Still have to call back when main office opens to get a new card sent to me, but at least I saved a bit of money. Also, it may be a while before I get back what they spent on the first charge. I’m suspecting it may have been gotten via a skimmer, as I know one place I shop was hit a year or so ago with very sophisticated skimmers added to their card system. With all the new COVID safety measures, it may actually be easier to get them in place because the cashiers can’t see anything going on on the pads; and, it is almost impossible to check them because you can’t see the area where the card goes in. Be careful out there.

Hope all have a good week.

Some Important Reads On COVID-19 And Medicine

Back on April 29, I ended the daily COVID-19 updates (last one here with links to previous). One of the reasons I cited was that the numbers coming from the government (really, governments everywhere) were meaningless. “Right now, the numbers are meaningless, unreliable, and being used to stoke panic and push agendas. ”

John Hinderaker at Powerline has a very good post up on the “confusion” and how it is largely deliberate. He provides examples of various health officials deliberately putting out false and misleading data. I really do wish I thought we would see more people putting this type information out, along with how the media is willfully and deliberately putting out false and misleading data. For just one example, look at the daily death tolls, as the deaths reported that day did not all happen that day, but potentially even weeks ago as there is a reporting lag since none of our health systems are set up for immediate notifications.

Also, take the hospitalizations and ventilator usage with a large grain of salt. Quite a few outlets push gross numbers, rather than noting the breakdown between non-COVID usage versus COVID usage of each. The same is going on with the deaths attributed to COVID-19. Many deaths are being reported as COVID-19 when the person died with the disease rather than from it (cough, motorcycle crash, cough). There are some researchers going through the death certificates in various locations to try to work up accurate numbers which are a good guide to developing real science-based policy and reducing the panic the media and bureaucracy are deliberately and maliciously stoking.

Meantime, this article on vitamin D (D3 specifically) is well worth the read. This article is about the continuing efforts of the FDA to block medical technology, particularly related to COVID testing. Keep in mind that it was the CDC and FDA that blocked efforts on testing, treatment, and more from the start, hamstringing efforts to contain, control, and treat. See the COVID updates and other articles here for more info. This article on the loss of trust in government and our so-called experts and betters gets into what it will mean in political and social terms, and is also well worth the read. Hat tip to Instapundit for these articles.

More to come, and hope you enjoy this food for thought today.

Two Important Reads

Those who fail to learn history are doomed to repeat it, and not just in summer school. There is a history behind what is happening right now, and that also applies to the mobs. This essay is well worth reading, and deserves the widest possible audience, as it goes into the sordid and bloody history of Millenarian Mobs. Hat tip to Powerline.

Three quotes stand out from the essay.

Given the Great Silencing (part II HERE) underway with the expansive censoring by Big Tech as one wing, this quote stood out:

Cohn shows how the adherence of lower-class masses, the phenomenon of crowds shut off from alternative sources of information and argument, helped drive these movements along their radical logic, to the point that their adepts became utterly closed to reality. We might say of them that they mixed and drank the Kool-Aid that killed them.

This quote also stood out as it is something I’ve said for a while:

Our own generation’s ruling classes are seized by no demons. Instead, they are principally concerned with holding on to power, and short-sightedly regard the revolutionary movements as allies against their socio-political competitors. That is why today it makes sense to consider the violent masses, and to some extent even the purified elite, as in effect pawns of the ruling classes.

And, finally:

Alas, the millennialists and their mob do not need specific grievances against specific targets. The civilization itself is the only real target; its existence and the mob’s lack of complete mastery over it are the only grievances that really matter. They need know only that the civilization they are attacking has become vulnerable, undefended, and may be safely treated with contempt. If we do not share that contempt, history shows we have no choice but to treat the millennialist mob as the enemies they are.

Please, go read the whole thing. Oh, and if you are Antifa or BLM, you might want to look into the Brownshirts and what happened to them; and, if media, you might want to look at who was among the first to the wall in almost every Marxist takeover in the world in the last century. They are happy to use you, but they don’t like you. You would do well to read Sarah A. Hoyt’s message to you.

Finally, this really should be added to my Gust Front post as it is another sign the storm is upon us. Lone crackpot or someone field testing training (or conducting training)? The scary thing is that the latter has to even be considered.

Gust Front

Just a few thoughts to share about the approaching storm. What we have seen so far is, at best, the gust front that precedes the real storm.

Minneapolis was the test, with agitprop, communications, and deployment of resources getting their first run in the field. While New York and Seattle have seen further testing and refinement, the real work of testing and refinement has been Portland. It’s not just been testing external communications and agitprop, but internal communications and the plugging of holes.

Chicago was the final test. U-hauls, vehicle convoys, supplies, and agitprop were put to use to make use of a crisis/opportunity. Even Mayor Lightweight has noticed the organization.

Expect to see this roll out across the country in the days ahead. Expect to see it in some cities/towns you wouldn’t think to see such. September and October are going to be rough. The storm approaches.

Who In The Hell Thought This Was A Good Idea???

It had to be more than one given the development and manufacturing process, so several someones at Hasbro had to sign off on the idea of putting a button on the “private parts” of a female doll that make it giggle, gasp, and more. The doll has been pulled from the shelves, but what the everliving were they doing?

Play the video. Hasbro has some serious explaining to do.

Coincidence? Hmmmmm

While I firmly believe in Occam’s razor, and the theory that one should not ascribe complex motives when (governmental) stupidity is far more likely than a complex conspiracy, the news yesterday was fascinating. I also find it interesting that Iran and China are linked to sites and countries where odd things are happening.

First up, the original primary explosion followed by the massive blast in the port of Beirut, Lebanon. I agree that the red cloud on the second blast indicates nitrates of some type were involved, but am invoking the 48-hour rule on speculation for now. That is in part because some details don’t add up and in part that some other interesting things have been happening.

It seems that Iran suffered several mysterious fires in industrial and food and electrical warehouses. Given some of the photos of the fire, it seems very engaged for food supplies. The fires outside Tehran are quite interesting.

While it could be just chance, there was also a fire in a closed food market in the UAE.

Also, there was an explosion and fire in a North Korean town on the border with China. At least one South Korean media outlet has reported that a gas leak caused the explosion, though again I think the 48-hour rule is good on anything involving the Hermit Kingdom.

It could be, and likely is, random chance that all these happened over a large geographic area in such a short time. The fires inside Iran? Well, the safe bet is that those fires were not chance but yet more in the series of debilitating “accidents” that have hit Iran and crippled some of its more interesting activities. Hitting at food, if that is what it was, simply continues fires and possibly other attacks on crops and food that were also seen in 2019.

Still, interesting to see and worth noting for consideration.
